Week 10 - Last Week of sprint 3



Animations

We made more animations for the game. When the game is over we will have a leaderboard and all the characters will have an animation based on what place they ended.

We also made an animation for when the player walks back.

Meshes

We made a tower mesh for the beginning of our level. Players will walk out of the gate in the beginning and in the end they will walk in it when it’s over. We also made blades for a trap in the level.

Powerups

Clear Powerup:

A new Clear powerup that destroys all barrels, pickup crates and current active powerups currently in the game.

Pixel draw + wings

Hazards

Blades:

These blades will be spinning around the level damaging each player it hits. These vicious blades are not to be underestimated.

Wings

This week the wings received a final update! We remade the wireframe so that it would be more suitable for skinning and animating. Afterwards we rigged them as well and put a basic animation on them so that we could use them in the game. The animation itself will receive an update over the next few weeks, but for now this suffices.

Character Mesh Update + Expansion

This week the character mesh got updated, every mesh part got renamed and most parts got attached to each other. On top of that have we attached the rage mode helmet and the speed boost boots to the character mesh to make it easier and cleaner to implement them ingame.

Due to the new parts and the renames we reskinned the complete mesh and made a clean import into the game.

Ingame, the rage helmet and new boots, will be disabled until they are picked up. So that the player doesn’t notice them until they have them on.

Miscellaneous

-Players are now unable to die/move or activate abilities while the camera changes position

-Small collision bug fixes

- The pauze game buttons have gotten a fresh layout.
